life is funny that way
first it's the water under the bricks
then the bar fight that gives a man his kicks
and releases the regret from having done worse than expected

how many days have i stumbled off course
and toasted numbly the circumstance of near future
blaming everything on the imbalance of nature
and the momentum of a poorly mixed drink
