POSING A THREAT (2008)

i derive pleasure
from posing a threat
though i suppose
i may just regret
having spent hours
punching a bag
advil, hot showers
numbing arms, legs
crawling depleted
up towards a dream
as death willingly watches
with a warm picnic grin
