About

While the title of this blog is “Research”, it covers a much wider range of topics than those at the core of my research in computer science. In fact, it contains more posts about random tidbits related to my programming experience than it does academic-type posts about ideas and paper reading / writing. In my mind, blogs are supposed to be fun, useful, quick reads, and this is just another one such blog by a comp sci PhD interested in artificial intelligence, robotics, communication networks, and optimization.

For example, here’s a post on a program for multiple desktops that I accidentally came across today. The reason I posted it on here is because I want to make sure I don’t forget it, and also that it may be useful to other people looking for a tool to accomplish a similar task. It has nothing to do with my research, but it is something that I found helpful while writing a journal paper revision for my research today.

I’d like to ask you a favour. I’m working on a paper on searching for bugs in software (to be submitted soon), and in order to illustrate one of the algorithms, I’d like to use a diagram showing a control flow graph of a program.

I’ve just come across your post about graph theory (http://lexfridman.com/blogs/research/2011/03/27/interesting-graph-theory-terms/), and it happens to contain a picture which would perfectly serve my needs. Would you mind if I use it? (I would certainly cite its origin.)

    Thanks a lot.

    Best,
